The Viral Genius Playbook
Build Authority, Visibility, and Demand in 30 Minutes a Week
Sit down for thirty minutes a week and talk. Someone asks you why you started the company, what you learned, what your customers actually needed. That recording becomes your entire marketing operation. You don't have to post your journey. You don't have to become a creator. You have to be interviewed, once a week, on purpose.
Where did the framework come from?
AI Smart finally got the green light. Three days, virtual, in Spanish, aimed at the Latin American market. I had five weeks to fill it.
The problem was everything else. The event had no mailing list behind it, no CRM, and no permission-based email system. No advertising budget and no PR budget. My target was three hundred registered attendees, and the speakers we had recruited were good enough that an empty room would have been humiliating.
So I interviewed the speakers. I recorded every one, put the full conversations on YouTube, cut them into vertical shorts, ran the transcripts through Claude and ChatGPT with detailed prompts, and turned each interview into social posts, newsletter articles and blog posts.
We beat the three hundred. And it dawned on me that this would have been impossible the year before. It would have taken a team of content creators and a real budget. I did it with a twenty-dollar-a-month AI subscription I paid for myself.
Who is the book for?
Founders in their forties and fifties. Gen X and Baby Boomers who built a career the old way, by solving real problems and earning real expertise over decades, and who never grew up documenting any of it online.
Attention is the currency now, and the agencies that are supposed to help mostly sell the same cookie-cutter retainers, the same paid ads, the same blog posts nobody reads. They don't know your voice.
The result is that experienced founders get drowned out by louder, less qualified competitors, purely because the competitors learned the content game. That's the problem this book solves.
What's actually in it?
| Chapter | What it covers |
|---|---|
| 1. The Viral Genius Framework | The framework itself, and what a founder's zone of genius has to do with marketing. |
| 2. Founder-Led Marketing | Why the founder is the only person who can be the source, and what that costs in practice. |
| 3. The Organic AI Content Cascade | How one recorded conversation becomes video, shorts, posts, newsletters and articles. |
| 4. Inbound-Led Outbound | Using the content you already published to make cold outreach stop being cold. |
| 5. Become a Viral Genius | Putting the weekly half hour on the calendar and keeping it there. |
How does the book relate to the Viral Genius Framework?
The Playbook is the framework's first full write-up, and the site has moved past it in one important way. The book assumes you know what your genius is and need a system to get it out. The Viral Genius Institute now spends the first session finding out, because most founders can't name the thing they know that nobody else does.
That first session is the Excavation. Everything in this book runs after it.
