The Viral Genius Podcast

Founders and creators who turned what they know into influence, and how they did it.

The show

Every founder is sitting on ideas worth spreading. This is the show where I dig them out, on the record. Interviews with people who turned what they know into demand, plus solo episodes where I work the Viral Genius Framework out loud.

What is the Viral Genius Podcast?

It's my show about founder-led content. 48 episodes so far.

I interview founders, marketers, and creators who built real businesses on their own ideas.

And I record solo episodes working out the Viral Genius Framework in public.

The question under every interview is the one the whole Viral Genius Institute runs on: what does this person know that nobody else knows the way they know it?

That thing has a name here. It's the One Unforgettable Idea, and the show is me asking people how they found theirs.

Who's been on the show?

Joe Pulizzi, who created the content marketing category and founded the Content Marketing Institute, came on to talk about CEX and the movement for content entrepreneurs.

Amos Bar-Joseph on building a $30M company with three people.

Chris Stanley on turning mini books into a $750K ARR business.

Sarina Nguyen on empowering small businesses with AI.

Plus Bryan Eisenberg, who pioneered conversion optimization with his brother, and Dennis Yu. And yes, Bryan is the man who named this whole thing. That story is here.

Where can you listen?

Right here, or on any of the big three.

Didn't this used to be the AI Marketing Case Studies podcast?

Yes. Same show, same host, new name.

I launched it as the AI Marketing Case Studies podcast. Then Bryan Eisenberg heard me describe my work and said: "Fernando, that's viral genius."

Strike Marketing Institute became the Viral Genius Institute, and the podcast took the new name with it. The catalog didn't change. The feed didn't change. The name caught up with the work.

Where do you start?

The free Profile. Twelve questions, about fifteen minutes, spoken out loud. You'll get back a plan that names your genius and drafts your category in your own words.

Know a founder sitting on a gold mine he isn't exploiting?

Send him an episode. Every client the Viral Genius Institute has ever had arrived because somebody standing next to the founder saw it before the founder did.

Hosted by Fernando Labastida, founder of the Viral Genius Institute and creator of the Viral Genius Framework.
